I am messing with my new to me GN. The car has Kenne Bell ash tray switches in it. The first one is listed as race and drive. I assume it is for the converter lock up. The third one over is for the fans to come on.
Some of the wires go to the diag port under the dash. With a little googling i found out the wires go in the upper left and upper right plugs. This cased the fan switch to start working. The converter switch did nothing. This switch only has 2 wires to while the fan switch has 3. I made a jumper to tie the middle prongs on the 2 switches together which is tired to ground.
When I do this and I move the switch for the converter I can here a clicking noise. Is this correct?
If this is correct is it locking up the converter full time for racing and normal for street driving?
Do I make any since?
