So I have 2 issues that I think are trans related. 1) I have a sounds like a bolt rattling around in a can coming from underneith my car. I've checked the converter bolts, they are tight. I've also taken a steatha scope to the bottom of the motor & trans and didn't hear any thing of that nature. Could it be the converter?
2) At crusing speed, around 45mph, the trans feels like it's "hunting" for a gear even though it has already shifted into OD. I can down shift it into D and it goes away at the same speed. Under normal & wot driving conditions, the trans shifts good.
Any ideas would be apreciated.
Thanks, Craig

The noise could be the converter. Try unbolting the flexplate and start it up. The other hunting thing could be a TCC partial lockup and unlock repeatedly. Does it do it with the TCC disconnected?

Just unplug the 4 pin connector on the side of the trans and go for a ride.
