Converter question

I need to bring the tranny down to fix a front seal leak. While i am there, i would like to inquire as to what converter you guys recommend that is a step above the stock converter? My car is basically stock with your regular add ons as chip, power plate, cold air intake but thats it. Any links to converters that wont break the bank? Thanks.
