converter slippage

How much rpm drop is there when shifting.What is the avaerage drop.This would be on a mid 8sec car.I beleive my converter is not locking up due to only 300-400 rpm drop on a powerglide setup.

You are blowing through the converter.
You may want to try a larger unit.
Do you have an 8inch or 9inch.
In Chow's Race Car we went with a Neil Chance 10inch Pro Mod.
This is the best Race Converter on the market.
