I had a rebuilt trans put in my 86 GN from Dynotech a few years back, before Eric took ownernship. When I had the trans put in I was strapped for cash so they put in a 10" orange stripe converter. Can someone explain this converter to me and is it worth it to upgrade now? Or spend my money elsewhere? I am lookiing for the best bang for the buck. I know a better converter will help but how much? I have a pte-51 turbo with 3'THDP and Hooker Cat back pipes.

The stall speed is unknown. I thought someone might be able to help there. The car has alky, Caspers thumbwheel chip, 009 injectors, upgraded fuel pump and reg., pte51 turbo, THDP 3", hooker cat back, Directscan, RJC power plate. Looking to upgrade intercooler shortly. Any ideas? Also what is the difference between a 12", 10" and 9" converter? I understand a 9" will develop more heat compared to a 10" but why put a 9" in if you can get the same stall from a 10"?
