I wrecked my '86 GN :( but I a have an '84 lined up. My drive train is fine, are there any unseen complications that I should know about? I plan on swapping the motor, trans, and rear.

Tia.

if the 84 is a turbo car it will be pretty much bolt in ..alot of little stuff butt nothing major since you have the 86 to get everything off of.

if you run into any problems there are a few of us on here that have done the swap over and can help you out if you get stumped..

if the fuel lines on the frame rail are intact on the 86 and you swap them over, it should be no problem.... just alot of work

if it comes with the hydroboost master cylinder, you ll probably want to convert ity over to the vacuum system-it s hard to make it work with the 86/87 powersteering pump and pulleys-i tried.

I've converted my '86 to vacuum, do you have to change out the pedal in an '84/5 also?

yes-you will also need the pedal-the pivot point is in a different location,i just completed a 84 to 87 conversion so let me know if you have any questions.matt
