Converting foot pounds to inch pounds?

What would you set a 3/8" inch pound torque wrench to read to set a fastener to 24 FOOT pounds? What is the conversion?

I believe it would just be a multiple or division of 12.
1 foot pound=12 inch pounds
so - 24 foot pounds would be 288 inch pounds.

Might not be right but it makes sense

How many inches are in one foot? Even us crazy Canucks with our metric system know that. 12 X 24 = 288.
