I changed the fluid in my trans for the first time since ive had it. There was no wiring in the trans and no convertor soleniod. The convertor either has 9's or 6's stamped around it. It also has 5687-L stamped on it. Any help would be appreciated. Also why would someone remove all of the electronics?

By this time the converter can be anything internally and the markings may not reflect what you have. It could have been converted to a non lock and re-stalled. You can test the stall speed with a brake test. Foot brake the car up until you see 1 psi boost and see what the rpm reads.
