just noticed this hardline leaking coolant yesterday not bad but it leaks i took it off to inspect it and its so hairline i cant even see the break in the line, it goes from the throttle body to what looks like the heater hose fitting as u can see in the pic ( im pointing at the hardline with the screwdriver)anyways id like to replace this does anyone know if local autoparts carry this? if not maybe someone here have an extra one laying around they want to sell me

As far as the coolant lines you can run a hose from one to the other on the passenger side of the engine. Then you can remove the throttle body lines that carry the coolant through the throttle body and cap them off. This is an old mod and is thought to avoid heat soak. (Hot coolant being plumbed through the throttle body) Then you wont need to worry about replacing them

yea im thinking im just going to do this simple mod once and for all i have a question though those 3/4" coolant that are close to one another under the uppipe and go back towards the turbo i have a hose back there that loops them together is that right?is that how those should be? keep in mind i d ont have any of that a/c stuff there all removed

^ from the sound of it, sounds like its bypassed back there as well since its not connected to the heater core. you can remove those hoses as well and just cap it off. so remove those 2 thick hard lines and the lines going to the TB and cap them off. Done and its a simple mod. if you need help i can maybe swing by and help you out.

thanx alot for offering a hand boost231 i think i got this one figured out just want to clarify so basically i should remove those 2 thick hard lines the run along the valve cover to the back where i have them looped together right ? then i just cap off the heater hose fitting on the intake ? and i also cap off the neck on the water pump that the other thick hard line goes into rite ? thats wat im understanding and of course capping off the throttle body lines too

i took a pic of the 2 thick hardlines i think ur referring to just so that i am on the same page as u these r it right ?
