coolant stat

my car is running in the 190*-205* range in 90* weather, is this ok for these car. I guess the v2 had a stock stat in it when i got it. I will buy a 160* stat soon when i get some money, but can i just run no stat at all , what will happen if i do.

With no stat, the water will run through the radiator too fast to cool. I put an aluminum radiator in mine last year and no matter how hot it is out or how hard I run it, I have never seen 180 degrees [vdo gauge reads 10 too high].

thanks bud, i run the 87 rad so i guess that i will buy the 160 stat then.
