If you have the stock chip, replace it with anything else modern. The start up on the stock chip was terrible.

Hey Masashi, welcome to the board, you gotta be one of the few guys with a GN in Japan, sweet.

My guess after reading his post was, from all the 38 years of driving, the TB blade screw is a tad out from bouncing.

Or maybe the stock chip commanded a low idle rpm, not sure anymore, anyone remember???

Before you turn in the screw on the throttle body, wait to hear some other replies.

If you do turn IN the screw to open the TB blade a tad, you'll then have to adjust the TPS and most likely the IAC/ISC will drop a tad. The OEM chip might command 700rpm, I can't recall factory idle rpm.

Thank you. I didn't know the IAC count was related to engine starting.
With AC off, it's below 25, but with AC on, it exceeds 30. In Japan's climate, we use AC most of the year, so should I adjust it to below 25 with AC on?
25 is ok for warm low idle in park A/C off.

Thank you, Mr,GNVYUS 1.
As you say, there are probably only a few GNs left in Japan, so even repair shops don't have much knowledge about them and I rely on you all.
The GN is my favorite car and I want to cherish it forever, so I would appreciate your continued advice.
I still vividly remember the excitement I felt when I saw a GN in a restaurant parking lot when I went to LA on my honeymoon 30 years ago!
