Correct way to blocking the oil filter bypass ?

Hey Gene - agreed, Mike T knows his stuff. I wonder if he has any strong feelings on this particular issue, one way or another... I'd do some more thinking about it if he was dead set against it.

Anyway, what particular modifications do you think are bad for a street car? What sort of bad advice/modifications have you had? If you've lost an engine due to some oil system mods, I'd like to hear about it. Would rather learn from someone elses mistakes if I can.

Gene - I'll agree that is all good stuff, and I think all of those things have been done to my engine as well. You just alluded to past mistakes, and I'm wondering what was done in the past that screwed your engine up? I'd like to know if one of the things that you feel is a mistake has been done to my engine also (well, except for the bypass thing. We already know about that one )
