Cost of rebuilding a turbo???

Thinking about purchasing a turbo that needs to be rebuilt. I normally wouldnt consider something like this, but I am getting a great deal. Anyways how much is it to rebuild. Assuming everything is in good working condition, only needing new seals and what else might wear out in there. Who is a good source do this and what is the usual cost. TIA

When I bought my turbo, off a board member and turned out to be just as they stated like new, I asked this same question. I called John Craig, who made the turbo, of Limit Engineering and asked him about a rebuild. I believe he quoted me $250 or $275. I would give him a call at (520) 453-7321.

I would see if there any local turbo rebuild shops around you. Most rebuild kit's should run you 20 to 60 $$$ max for a T04 center section.

The center sections are not much at all. i would purchase a rebuild kit from turbocity.com should cost ya about 90 bucks or so. comes with seals, bearings etc. rebuilding a turbo isnt that bad at all. just use a new oil fill line and prime the hell out of it before you use ignition on the car...
