Could one burnout a week ago destroy my trans?

Entered a burnout contest last week, won it (burn out lasted maybe 30 seconds). Could that have caused my symptoms today?

In park give it some juice... revs up fine, when the RPMs are settling, I hear a little drone-ish type noise... is that normal? I'm about to go in the rain and check the TV cable and fluid. Driving symptoms? Noticed a slight flare on the 1-2... but not on all 1-2 shifts, it happened on some and didn't on others...

NM... mods can you move this to the general tech? Turns out that when I turn on the defrost, I get a weird vibration noise. Is it going out and/or will the defrost cause something else to fail?

Trans and everything else is still fine.

Defrost runs the AC compressor...That's probably what you hear.

Thanks... damnit, I don't even use AC (gas). Is it possible to remove that thing and keep the heater/defrost functioning?
