Couple 200-4R questions

I grabbed a 200-4R out of a MCSS today (CZ tranny) What converter is in this thing (I believe a D6 but correct me if I am wrong) and what kind of beefier parts are in it? I was under the impression that a CZ was pretty much the same thing as a BRF. Does it have the good servo, valve body etc?

Also, I have a 200-4R CC tranny (out of an el camino) is it worth anything? If it's not I think I am going to sell the engine and trans together.

I was always under the impression that they had D5s like the TRs but I don't know for sure either. Valve body and gov are very similar to the BRF, probably better if using behind a v8. They have a more "active" kickdown for passing, etc. than the BRF. The TRs make enough torque that they do not need to kick down as early. I believe the servo is better than ordinary but not as good as a 694 stock GN servo.

I as well of a lot of other builders prefer the CZ over the BR. Its much more active than the BR as stated above on the kickdowns which helps a lot with bigger turbos. Exhaust gas energy will build a lot quicker at higher rpm. With the GN governor it will shift a little later also, around 5500 rpm. You will need the GN servo or aftermarket one. The one in the CZ is a little smaller and should be replaced. The guts are the same on both units. VB, seperator plate, governor, speedo driven gear, and servo are the major differences, and the pump calibration is a little different.

Very good VB to use providing you also have the govenor. They need to be used together.
But good to have that is for sure.. :biggrin:
