First the stumble problem. I removed the old tore fillers yesterday and also removed the cracked header panel. Afterwards went for a little drive, it was stumbling from a dead stop and caught up and seemed fine until I stopped again. Any suggestions on that? Now the fuse problem. Got back from my ride and came in to get ready for work(work nights). I go out and get in the car to fire it up and it almost cranked then just turned over. I checked the fuel pump prime/injector fuse, guess what, it's blowed! Ok, I put another one in, blows again as soon as I turn the key on:mad:  And I try yet another one and got down to where I could see the fuse panel and turned the key on and that one blows too:mad:   Well I said screw it for now and went to work and worried about it all night:( Please help!!

I recently went through an episode of a couple popped FP/INJ fuses. All indications are that it was the connector (or lack thereof in my case) going to the oil pressure switch down by the oil filter. There is a Pink/BLK wire going to that connector that is part of the FP/INJ circuit and apparently mine was occasionally grounding. Been fine ever since I addressed that.

Also, look at your injector harness closely for signs of chafing. They have been known to generate bare spots on the wires over time causing shorts.

Greg,
Checked the wires going to the op sending unit and injector harness. I also checked the wires int he trunk going to the fuel pump. Nothing out of the ordinary, not bare wires or chaffing. Is there anyway to find out what circuit it is in(ie..fuel pump, injectors, oil press sending unit)? I unplugged the fuel pump and tried the key...fuse still popped:mad:  Need help...please

Did some more testing....actually 1 test

I unplugged the injector harness and turned the key on and to my surprise the fuse did not blow. Plugged the harness back in and turned the key on and the fuse blew, so that pretty much confirms what circuit the short is in, right? Does this mean the short is in the inj harness itself or the wiring from the plug to the fuse panel. I hope it's just in the inj harness. Thanks

Somewhere in the injector harness.

Hopefully a close visual inspection will find it. :)
