Alright Im hoping this is the right thread area, well Im in a bit of a dilema with my 87 buick gn, Ive owned this car for 6 months havent driven it do to winter, the car has only 14,500km and its all original paint and all, the car sat in garage for 18 years and was never really driven, the original owner passed and I took this lovely car into my care, When I first got the car I took it for a safety and what not and everything was original the brake drums still had the stickers on them and the clips that hold the drum on while at the factory, anyways long story short, I por 15 the entire underbody not much rust but it did sit on a concrete floor in a garage, the only thing that failed on my safety was the original exhaust had a split down one of the pipes were it was welded togther? Now I just recently purchased some custom bent 3" ss exhuast from the cat back, but im starting to wonder should I leave this car bone stock or just change out the exhuast?? Any help or suggestions would be great,

I want to preserve this car and be able to show it but with 3"exhuast would that hinder the end result? Thanks everyone

Keeping it stock is nice. I tried to do that but when my stock exhaust rotted away at 21k miles I dumped it and got a stainless 2.5 system.

If you intend to show the car you should be ok. All the shows I have attended allow for 2 or 3 "modifications" from stock. Exhaust would be one mod but not sure if anyone would really notice as long as it exits out the sides and is cut at and angle on the ends.

Personally, I would just do the basics; fuel pump, Adj. FPR, chip, exhaust, air filter, alky kit and maybe some suspension stuff to tighten up the car a bit. That way I can still enjoy the car and it still would have some decent power.

Nope Im from Canada, thanks for all the suggestions everyone
