Crank ?

New to the stage thing and have some crank questions do stage blocks accept std. Crank and rods from say a 109? Can you use a narrow or wide journal crank in a stg block and what is used mostly?

The cranks interchange. Most of the bms cranks were wide journal.

So you can use basically any crank in the stage block narrow or wide journal? The on-off center is made up with the rods correct

It depends. My block was the same deck height as a 109, but a couple others I looked at were shorter. I'm sure most people cut the decks down to get the compression ratio they wanted back when the blocks were used NA in busch and other series.

You have to watch the stage stuff. Some have been cut. They are normally 9.535ish. The same as the older production blocks. The 109's are shorter, 9.51.
