I have the 2 piece poston crossover on my car, and I can't for the life of me get it to seal up! I put permatex ultra copper on the bell mouths of the crossover and tightened up as evenly as possible, one side, then the other, to no avail. It is almost as tight as physically possible and still it billows smoke out of them. Anyone have any tips or suggestions? I guess i might have to go back to the stock crossover if possible, I just wanted to get this one to work since I already bought it.

thanks,
mike

yeah i got the postons crossover and it is nothing like i expected and it leaks, i am wondering if i will pick up spool with a stock cross over??
sorry i cant help just have the same problem.

I have Poston Headers with the stock crossover pipe and do not have any problems. I also have never heard of any restrictions as a result of the drivers side header as well as the crossover. All the talk is about the passenger side header and downpipe. I would get a stocker. Brad

I just remembered something. My mechanic used some kind of compound to get my old uppipe to seal at the Poston header. It worked great. Let me know if you want me to find out what it is. Thanks-Brad

brad, that would be great if you could find out the compound name, looks like i may be putting on the stocker

I called my mechanic and the compound is called muffler cement. He said his tube is ten years old and was made by Yale Engineering-Hampshire IL. This town actually close by me. Good Luck. Brad
