Not sure if it ever has...
When I push in the button I do not get a lite on the dash to indicate on.
I checked the switch at the brake and it looked ok so it may be in the stalk. How do I check the stalk wiring? How do I replace if needed and where do you buy? THANKS

PAUL

Inside the stalk the wires get squished and chafed which is good for some things but not for wires. Pull the stick out, it pops out, and you can probably see the crimped section. Otherwise unplug the funny looking connector at the base of the column and attach a fish wire through the little hole and pull the wires out of the column until you can see the crushed areas. There are two area that get damaged. The wires are pretty fine and easily damaged.

Never pull the whole thing out without pulling a fish wire up with it or else you will never feed it back in again.

On my car I sometimes have to pull the brake pedal up a little to get the cruise to work.

Are you saying the stalk just pulls out of the column? No clips to remove or push in, just pull it out by the handle? That sounds scary!

The first time it's scary the second time you are a pro. ;)

Check the fuse and power at the connector for the stalk wires first. :)

Stalk

I think you have to twist the stalk to get it to come out I think some of the more experienced GN'ers will chime in and let you know whether it is clockwise or counterclockwise.

I just wiggle it while pulling. It lets go all of a sudden, don't snap the wires off.

I think I will wait for some of the brain surgeons to chime in on whether you need to rotate it and which way. Thanks
