Big, huge car show. There are literally thousands of cars lining the coast. Hot rods, muscle cars, drag only...you name it. It is a great experience. Just driving around town is cool since there are killer cars in every parking lot and driving around. Thousands of cars registered for the event, but at least as many unregistered just go to be in the environment. There is a cruise every night on the hwy along the beach for miles. We'll be there Fri the 10th to Sun the 12th, but it goes on all week before that. Anyone else going? Had a BLAST last year, and the weather should be incredible if it's like the last few weekends.

I'll be there all week (and every other day, I live here). May even put the '36 on a trailer and tow it around (or is that just the mark of a loser?) She'll never be on a trailer once she can move under her own Turbo Buick power!!

If you or anyone else needs help with anything while you're here or before you come down, let me know. I'd love to get together with some of my TR brethren and bench race and watch cars!

If you plan on coming to Cruisin' the Coast, e-mail or PM me so we can get together at some point. It'd be nice to put some faces with the names. My friends still laugh at me and Bubba Nicholson meeting at Hot Rod Power Tour in New Orleans and knowing each other by TB.com Screennames.

James,

I joined your new board. Looks good so far! In case you haven't seen the news, Cruisin' the Coast will limit entries in 2004 to vehicles 25 years old and older. Anything newer can be submitted for approval on a case-by-case basis but they've already said it'll need to be exceptional to get the OK. Not that it matters. Like you said, there are almost as many cool cars not registered that are here that week. You go blind looking at cars!!

25 years old isn't that bad, either. Most "Rod Runs" are strictly "pre- 1948", which eliminates tons of cars!

Look forward to hearing from you guys that are coming. Bring your wives and girlfriends too. My wife will be with me.

BTW don't let the age of my car fool you. I'm only 37!

I'd really like to see your 36. I wanted to take a 65 Riv and put a LC2 motor in it. :D I won't enter but I will cruise the coast. :D

We'll be there in the Supercoupe, if you see a red one with 91 SC on the tag, give us a honk.
No need to enter anyway, it's more fun to be mobile down there. We missed the drags last time, hope to make it to see it this time. I guess you guys live there so you won't miss much that week. We got a room looking right out on the hwy, hope they don't really cut out all the burnouts.

I am definitely going to be there. I have Richards cell#, and going to ring him up sometime on Friday. I hope to have the Elky up & running by then. I had to do a small repaint on it. I will be there Thursday thru Sunday. I say lets try to get together and put some faces with the screennames. I know Randy Alexander (southernboost) is coming down on Friday, Saturday. So we will have a couple of Turbo Regals down there. Richard, I can't wait to see the 36. See ya in a couple of weeks.
Bubba Nicholson:D

Gonna see if my buddy Scott Baker is bringing his GNX (#106). Calling a couple of other TR owners today. I'm off M,T, F,S,Sund that week so call, e-mail, PM when you get here.
