The City just went up for Grabs--the Cubs won the Division after the Brewers lost a few minutes ago. Now that the Cubs are in they can start looking for an excuse as to why they lost before making it to the World Series. I don't think they would have finished higher that 3rd or 4th in any other division this year. Then again the Cards only won 83 games last year and took the crown.

My wife and daughter who are huge baseball fans are right now standing in line to buy tickets to the Rockies Padres game tomorrow. I'm going to stay home and watch football.

I can't get excited anymore. The Cubs have let me down too many times. I spent a whole summer of my youth watching games that I wish I now had back. THe letdown 4 years ago was enough for me to call it quits.


I had a reminder on the radio today. I heard a fan from NYC talk about the Mets and how he was sick of it. Then I heard a fan of the Florida Marlins speak. Then I thought.... who likes the Marlins? WTF... Then I put myself in his shoes and realized I'm an idiot for liking the Cubs. The Bears won the Super Bowl when I was a kid and now they just build you up to let you down.
