Does anyone know if the current available heater core for the 87/87 turbo cars has any issues with the size of the inlet and outlet tubes? Someone at Bowling Green last year said the lines were reversed to original cores? I have not seen anyone speaking of it.

just contact highwaystars and youll be fine with his kit , it comes with the needed foam to pad the new aluminum core to fit snug where the old brass one was
and if you need hoses/clamps he has those too

other things you may need is 3m strip caulk to reseal the case , rtv sealer to reseal the firewall ,
you could even get a full ac case firewall gasket and cut it to replace the top of the case seal which gets torn removing the top

I took my original and had it braised at a local radiator shop. No problems since, but I live in Phoenix, so the heater doesn't see much use...

It's not a real hard job. Compared to some jeeps I have encountered its a walk in the park. We don't have to pull the entire dash a seats.

It's not bad at all, if I can do it, anyone can.

Just like any job, when you take it apart, make sure you know how it needs to go back together. Smart phones make that easy, now-a-days...

funny, I think peoples don't think about the HC unless it leaks and that can suck. I might get in there and see what I can C. I have no leaks and the heat works.
It might even help in cooling if it's not 100% clear. What do youz think.

If it ain't broke, don't touch it. No reason to unseal the box and go routing around in there.

FWIW, before I had my original fixed, I bought the Murray replacement core from O'Reilly's. I ended up giving it to another board member who said it worked perfect for him. There's two types. The pipes go opposite directions.

did U have a leak
I did, yes. I put some RMI in it and that stuff found EVERY weak spot in my cooling system and exposed it! Heater core was one of 3 leaks I ended up with after the RMI.

All are good now.
