custom headers

Ok guys, who out there has made custom headers?

I need to make a custom one for the drivers side on my hybrid. Neitehr the TA knockoffs or stock one will clear my steering linkage!

You can get the flange from a couple places. What options for making the collector?

Other things needed to know?

1.5" primaries 3 into one collector at 2.5"?

flange options for less leaks?

You can buy stamped collectors from several places. If you want to use a real merge collector, expect to spend about $250.00 each for them.

I did not build a custom header from scratch, but I did modify the stock header to fit my Hybrid. It actually was a lot easier that I thought it would be. I posted some pics of it before I welded it all together. Take a look at what I did on the pass side header maybe it will give you some ideas and you can modify what you have instead of building something from scratch. http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/hybrids/260056-my-custom-crossover.html

If that does not work, I have this one left over from my project. It is probably a long shot but you never know.

If you think it is in the ballpark I can mount it to my motor and snap a few more pics. The motor is out of the car so it is no big deal.

It is not from any stock car that I know of. I bought it back in the 80's for a 4.1 NA motor. They were sold back then as generic headers for the Buick V6. You obviously would need a custom crossover to make it work.
