Cutting a heat shield

Is it possible to cut an already chrome plated turbo heat shield to clear a 3" DP without damaging the chrome? Anyone in the central FL area that can do this?

Not saying it is impossible but I doubt it.

Yes it's possible. Fine tooth saw and some tape to protect the chrome.

I did mine, after it was chromed, with a hack saw and a fine blade. I simplified the template and made 2 straight cuts.

I used a de- burring tool on an air grinder and worked a radius . just like porting heads
