Cutting Out - Newbie help needed

Does this pic match

I just posted separately about my new car having a wiring loom disconnected on the driver side. Sounds like the same thing...is this what you are seeing? That would explain why mine is disconnected.

Thanks,

EW

Before I wasn't sure but now I am. The problem is fixed. It turned out to be an issue with black goo built up in each of the connectors for the fan relays as shown above. You can see the full discussion of the thread here: http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1308514

I ended up getting a Fan Delay Relay from a junkyard pull (an '84 Century) They are part numbers #25527402 for a GM lookup or #15-8229 on ACDelco parts. You can see the other cars that have this relay here: http://198.208.187.182/internet/VehiclePartFits.jsp and put in the ACDelco part number or just go to http://www.acdelco.com if that link doesn't work. I want my car to be stock and have everything working so I was compelled to get this part and not pay $60 for it.

Thanks for all who helped. I got a lot of good information about other things to check for in future issues. It just took that one answer that was almost too simple to even mention. This forum is a real life saver! :)
