if i had a radiator shop cut out a couple PS intercooler cores off the top and bottom so it would fill up the entire grill area but not extend into the header panel area, would the intercooler lose any of its effectiveness? if so, how much effectiveness would i lose? what if i had them cut the intercooler so its not so wide? what would happen to its effectiveness then? is this even possible? i want to try and get an intercooler that fills up the whole area behind the grill but no more than that. i also dont want any of the endtanks blocking the radiators airflow. i will most likely be having the endtanks custom fabbed to point downwards kinda like the PTE FMIC endtanks are. is any of this worth my time or should i just get a V4? i only want to go low-mid 11's when i im finished. it just seems a FMIC sees better airflow than a stock type. is there any truth to this or the the V4 get good enough airflow as is? i also like the FMIC b/c it frees up working space in the engine bay but you can always take out a stock location intercooler. its only 3 bolts.
