Have the guides K-lined or replace with iron guides. TA has affordable Stainless replacement valves, as do other vendors. If stepping up to the larger 1.77" valves, might as well have them ported, too. There are a hand full of great head porters on this board. (sorry, but if you need them in the next three weeks, I am swamped right now.) Buying a set of heads that are ported and ready to bolt on is a great idea.
