If you're going to look for any heads, make sure its the heads off of an 86 or 87 buick century, front wheel drive. Not the "3800" motor. The one I'm talking about, has the same intake manifold as us, and has a roller valvetrain. The 3800's use a different long runner intake manifold that would be awesome for torque, but would require alot of work to retrofit. This is the same engine that was in my parent's century. It has the same intake, but I think its mounted backward, and the TB/Vacuum block is mounted sideways.

Then from wikipedia, if you look up buick 3.8, it shows what was available. It says about the Vin2 and Vin 3 motors for FWD:
3.8 FWD

In mid-1984, the engine was modified for transverse-mounting in smaller, FWD vehicles, and equipped with multiport fuel injection (MPFI). This was updated to sequential fuel injection (SFI) in 1986, and initially produced in two forms, one with flat lifters (tappets), and the other with a roller camshaft and lifters. The latter was offered in various models through 1988. Power produced by this engine was:

* VIN code B: flat lifters (tappets)
o 166 hp @ 4400 rpm, 210 ft·lbf (280 N·m) @ 2000 rpm
* VIN code 3: roller lifters (tappets)
o 145 hp @ 4400 rpm, 215 ft·lbf (292 N·m) @ 2000 rpm (1984-1985 MPFI)
o 180 hp @ 4400 rpm, 235 ft·lbf (319 N·m) @ 2200 rpm (1986-1988 SFI) (LG3)

The last one is the one that was in my parents car. Sequential fuel injection. See the 2 bolts that hold the valve covers on? Thats the aluminum heads...if my memory serves me

No factory aluminum heads on the FWD 3.8/3800. All are cast irons reguardless of the year and model.:)
