D-5 will it work with 700R4?

Will a D-5 convertor from a 86-87 turbo regal work in a 700R4? I know certain year 700R4's have different splines? Anyone tried this

The D5 will will fit the 82- early 84 700-R4's with the 27 spline input shafts. Later 700's have the 30 spline. The D5 will also fit the 200c trannies.
