WOW!!! small world. My wifes mom is from New Ulm and the wife grew up in Mankato. My wifes Gma passed so I was just there in New Ulm a few months back. Had to have several drafts of Schells Firebrick at the Keiserhoff (spelling?). The weather dipped to 48 one evening. Enjoyed biking the red jacket trail in Mankato the trail is right by my wifes families house.
Minnesota is a beautiful state and my wife HATES the south and the heat. Guess well be moving a lil closer to MinneSNOWta in the next few years.
Shes worring me to death about it:biggrin:
Its hot and humid here at work in the Panhandle of FLA
Our other choice was in East TN, where we finally settled a few years ago. Great weather, beautiful mountains, and "maybe" a flicker of snow.
You went too far south!!!!
When the Wife and I were looking for a place to settle in our near retirement age. We went down to FL and looked around for a few days, and after a few days in the high 90's heat and 90's humidity, was a more than enough to convince us of the error of that direction.

After having been born and raised in the MN, WI area, there's no way we would consider moving/living there for any reason. It's bad enough just having to go back for visits at the "wrong" time of year.
Remember back to the days of a$$ deep snow? You don't really want that again do you?
Hey Russ, my family has a cabin there, we go up a LOT, let me know if you go up over the holidays,
The day after Thanksgiving they have an AWESOME Christmas parade with a bunch of Hot Rods......
Been to the Dunraven Italian place yet???? Yum Yum
Ty

Went out Devil's Gulch Rd and saw a bunch of places for sale, what's up with that?
