Should be interesting to see how she does. At least she is going to generate some interest in Nascar. Today is just an ARCA race. Guess if she does good she will be in the Nationwide race.

With 43 to go she's doing o.k.. Jr's on the front row for the 500!

YOUR girl is in 3rd right now! Patrick just messed up and went backwards from 6th.

I am at work and can't find a link for live video.........

Patrick finished 7th Owens way back, pretty good race:biggrin: And this ends my race commentary for RMAR:biggrin:

LOL, Thanks Mark and remember that is why you make your daughters play with dolls...........

I was really hoping she would finish ahead of Danica.

I was impressed w/ Danica, especially w/ going through the grass. In all honesty I was pulling for Alli to place higher than the #7.

Would of been nice to see someone fly under the radar and snag some of the glory from the JR Motor$port$/Go Daddy hype.

I think they both did very well, considering thier experience levels, and the fact they were beatin/bangin w/ the "good ol boy" crowd..
One gets a whole new perspective for what it takes to drive 1 of those cars, when you do the program at Charlotte, Atl, etc. Try it, you'll like it! It'll raise your "pucker factor", guaranteed.

LOL, them cruse words in NC:biggrin:

JR is the man... He had the biggest shoes to fill in history of Nascar... Kyle Petty sure didn't fill his daddy's shoes...

At least JR is doing well on the business end of the industry, I am sure Dale would be just as proud of that...

I don't dig chick's racing, so back out of this thread:biggrin:

IMO, It will take more than Danica to get interest from former NASCAR fans... like making the racers use cars that are race modified versions of "real" cars. No more stupid ricer wings (that appeals to the ricer crowd who don't even know enough about their ricer Toyotas to put the car in neutral if the gas pedal sticks:eek:). If a car is a 4 door front wheel drive 6 cylinder car, that's what it should be and look like, not some dopey look alike jelly bean car that could be anything you want to slap a decal on. Real cars cars...Camaro, Mustang, Challengers... would gain a gazillion new fans and re-attract former fans to return to the sport.

I AM a "former" fan. Lost interest after 2/18/01 RIP Dale. This piqued my interest (Danica) to actually watch a whole race even though it WAS an ARCA race. Hats off to her. I am all for the female racers getting involved and would hope to eventually have it be more than a novelty thing.

Rice wings are going away from what I have read. The Camaro/Mustang/Challenger deal would be a no brainer to really drum up the interest. They are missing out on a golden opportunity to get back to the win on Sunday sell on Monday of yesteryear. Problem is what would Toyota run?

Oh yeah, and Danica actually finished 6th not 7th.;)
