Dash repair

Dash is cracked
has anyone replaced the whole dash
do you have to unbolt the fuse panel and wiring to come out with dash

My son and I did his ...we pulled the dash and disconnected the wiring from the old one and held the new one in place and rescrewed the wiring to the new dash.His windshield was out so it made it alot easier.I still think it is easier than changing the whole wiring harness out with the new dash just my opinion .It will take two people

Most of the wiring behind the dash is bolted to the dash. The fusebox isn't I've done it but it isn't for the faint at heart
