I have a question and that is if you can install a digital dash into a regular dash. Can yu get a 85 digital dash and put it into a 87 with no mods. I have the dash with the 85 mph speed cluster that everyone has and I like the digital ones better. I was thinking of just buying a digital dash and putting it into my car with the same plug. Can you do this, has anyone ever done this. I want to know before I go and spend my money and find out that it doesn`t work.

Its your car so I cant tell you what to do with it .You should consider getting the 145 face plate conversion.Kirbans will
change the face plate and recalibrate your speedo for $95.
The digital dash will flash at 85mph unless the chip in the dash
has been changed.Besides with the digital dash you wont have a tach.You would also have to change the sending unit in the fuel
tank for the digital dash.Also it wouldnt just plug right into where
an analog gauge cluster was.
