Well I wanted to do an update on the second post in the above thread since some good came out of the situation. I was finally able to contact Red via facebook after about a year. We discussed the situation and came to the conclusion that the best scenario was for me to come and get my motor as is, he had built the shortblock and a majority of the other part were recovered as well. Needless to say I was relieved to finally get all those items back into my possession. I agreed that I would clear his name on the board, thus he does not owe me anything, and what I had paid him covered the machining and assembly of the short block. Red had evidently ran into some hard times, went through a divorce, his business tanked and had gotten his cell shut off and did not have net access for a while. Being that I had written the motor off and started piecing together another block, this was a pleasant surprise. For all intensive purposes he could have sold the motor parts and there would be nothing anyone could do... he manned up and made things right between us and I respect him doing that.
