SignUp Now!Same problem here last week. Apparently I donated to a Mayor in Texas, I haven't been in Texas for 20 years. A bunch of other bs charges that the bank said I won't be paying. I asked how this can happen and she said people will punch in #s till they get a hit.
Funny thing is if you use debit there is no protection. Only when you use credit. Credit you have VISA and MC to help.
Someone gets your PIN.. your SOL. So when you get gas, go to the store, etc.. use "credit" not "debit" even tho it costs the merchant more.. it protects you.
Its hard to get the PIN from a Bank.. way easier to snipe it from a transaction at a gas pump.
My card was hit a few months ago for 2800 from France. 1 minute before for .76 from a doctors office in AZ. The bank caught it.
