A couple of weeks ago I bought an exhaust clamp from Jegs online and paid using PayPal, which draws from my debit card. The next day I get a message on my answering machine saying that I need to call these people about some costumes I ordered. Told the wife to check the accounts and sure enough I got hit for over $4k! Just like that, my checking account was down $4000. I was pissed to say the least. We called the bank and cancelled the card, and then we had to dispute every draft to get the money back. Filed a police report, then all the stuff that was bought started showing up at my house. The thieves ordered costumes, workout videos, supplements, and of all things; $500 worth of rubber duckies.
Ended up getting all my money back and sent all the stuff back. It was a huge hassle and stressed my wife and I out big time. We opened an online only account that only has $300 in it so thats the most they can get me for if it happens again.
