Very cool build.

I went through the same problem with similar breathers.
These cars always seem to oil mist up the breather when driven in a "sporty fashion". I used straight push-in K&N filters for a while, but due to the angle of the breather, the occasional oil drip bugged me. I bought a set of Metco angled push-in breathers and they work great (and look cool).

It turns out that one of my breathers is defective. I took each one and blew through it, one vented normally (still doesn't vent all that great) and the other hardly let any air pass at all.

I like those Metco breathers. The K & N breathers with the chrome shield are another possibility. Hopefully changing breathers will stop the oil from appearing on the back 'ledge' of the engine.

Today was a holiday, and what better use of my time than to work on the Buick. I removed the intake manifold to reseal it since it was leaking oil. The pics show the Champion manifold and GN1 head ports.

I installed the RJC boost controller and did a quick blast yesterday at 16-17psi. The boost held steady with no spikes. I recorded the run and compared the file with my old combo. Basically this new combo, running a street chip and 17psi is as fast as my old combo running a race chip and 25psi. The car should be in the 11.30 to 11.40 zone right now. Once I get the boost up to about 18-19psi I want to take it to the track. I was hoping for high 10's on pump gas, but honestly I don't see it getting there as easily as I first thought. It'll be close, but I predict 11 teens to 11 twenties on 19psi. If I can get the tune dialed in more then it might see a very high 10. If I were to install an alky kit, then mid 10's would be easily achievable. One step at a time though. I've never lost a head gasket and hopefully never will. Zero knock is your friend.

I'm going to retry uploading the pics that I did a couple of posts ago:

Check out how close the roller lifter body is to an adjacent lobe :O

I concur. Last time I took mine to the track I ran the times and boost in my sig w/93oct. However, when I opened up the dump, it gave me two more lbs (18psi) and the fastest 1/8 time of the day (7.373). The "calculator" say's it would have been 11.5x in the 1/4 BUT my intercooler hose pooped of right after the 1/8. This was on a street chip set for 18psi. I also figure when I get boost around 20~25 and either start spraying alky or C16 10.8x or faster should be seen. I must truly say these COMBOS really work well when all the supporting parts are there! BTW, Beautiful build and collection of cars!

Nice to see it coming back together. When do we turn up the boost?? :D

Very soon my friend..very soon! I had to step back and take a break from it all. I was consumed in BUICK! Now, I go to the top of Lake Chabot Hill and fly remote control gliders with the old folks. The BUICK bug is back!

Thanks. I hope to take it to the track in April. The local track (Sunshine) was sold and then bought by a private investor. He's doing some repairs before the track re-opens. I've got the boost set at 18psi for now and it runs super! At a 20mph roll, I can just roast the drag radials on command.
