Windshield Defroster Question????

Lately when I turn on my defroster on cool mornings my windshield fogs up within minutes of driving. What could be the cause of this? There is no evidence of a leaky heater core... Also when I turn on my defroster, air also comes out of the floor heater... Does this have something to do with my windows fogging up? Any help is greatly appreciated, THANKS

Is your A/C compressor kicking on? The air conditioner system is suppose to evaporate moisture when in defrost mode. On cold mornings, my windows fog slightly and then begine to defrost rather fast.

No I dont here my A/C Compressor kicking on... What things can I look for that may be causing this? Is there a relay, fuse etc that I can troubleshoot?

You know what your A/C compressor looks like (top front of engine on the drivers side)? If the climate control panel is off, the front of the A/C compressor is not moving. When the climate control is set to max, bilevel, normal or defrost, the front of the A/C compressor should be turning. Maybe what I should be asking: Does your A/C work in the summer time?

Havent used my AC since I bought the car 3 years ago. Tried it out the first really hot day didnt blow cool air so I never really tried it since. I will check out the compressor tonight and see what happens...

Also a few weeks ago I had the climate control pulled out to replace the little light bulb in it. Could I have screwed something up when I did this?
