Alright all you smart hot-air people, answer me this: would the Delphi 40# Red Stripe injectors be too much for an 85 hot-air which has been converted to an 87 ECM? mods would include walbro340, hotwire, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, K&N, stock turbo.... thanx for your help and input. :)

Wouldn't be too much...Just enough to grow into when you feel you want to go faster later on...Just plan ahead and buy your injs. once...May cost a little more now, but in the long run, it's cheaper...Not just for the injs, but also the chips to run them with...

Hope this helps...

so...

I should not have a problem with rough idles or running too rich or excess fuel dumping or problem tunning the car with these injectors? I plan on upgrading to a bigger turbo down the road, but like you mentioned, and upon the advice of many others, I want to have the ability built-in to go wilder if and when I want. If these will work flawlessly with the mods in my first post, then I would feel comfortable in buying them. any input or thoughts? TIA:p

no problem, just have someone competent burn a chip for you and it'll probably idle better than it does now:).

It's a h*lluva lot easier to re-burn the chip to match the components in your setup and cheaper as well...rather than having to upgrade both at the same time...

I've got 50#ers on my car, and it idles just fine...But I've also got a TA51, etc...

If I were you, I would probaly go with the 009's(42.5#)...They have been out for a long time, and most all of the major chip burners have the characteristics figured out...Can't go wrong with em...And probably not that much more expensive, if at all...also, big enough to get you into the 11s... :D
