denatured with water?

has any one using denatured alchy ever mix it with water? would mixing it with water provide a better cooling effect?

I mixed my denatured about 50/50 with water and a squirt of WD40.

Didn't like the way it corroded the pump outside, and wiring, when I checked the thing out cause my pump fell off the line.

Only had about 3 tankfuls of the stuff in there too.

I'm sending it back, warranty (thanks Steve), for the brass mods. and see what he says about the pump.

I think I got bad denatured it had 4% methanol don't know if that's standard or too high. ???

I'm gonn run iso. and water when I get my new kit and the upgraded kit for my 2 cars.

Just my .02. Always look in the tank before you fill it up, make sure everything looks ok.

sounds about normal for the meth. Methanol loses its corrosiveness to a great degree with the slightest amount of dilution.

I should probably have just used alky. and water to see how far I could get with that first.
