Geeze I just called Home depot about renting a dimond blade cutting saw for brick cutting.

$85 to rent for the day?
What they H_LL do these things cost to buy?

needless to say I found another place at $60.

they are trying to make up for all the guys that buy the saw, use it for a day, and return it.;)

I'm assuming we're talking an electric wet saw?

Unless you think you will need a week to do your job, just rent it.

If you don't think you will have to cut a lot of bricks, you can get a diamond blade for a circ saw, works pretty good. Blade life isn't great as it is dry-cut, but they are only $30-60 depending on what brand. Unless you have a huge paver project, it should hold up. Down-side is you don't have as much precision with a circ saw. I have seen people use them on the table-saw conversion tables with a circ. Basically you mount the circ saw underneath the table. However, again, unless you already have the table, or have other uses for it, you might as well just rent it.

I worked at a rental shop for a while...
