Jay and I took my C.A.G.E Racing D.L.S. powered race car to the Dyno today and first pull 526 RWHP! 2 pulls later while still hot it made 533 RWHP:eek:

This was on a very conservative tune at only 25#'s of boost!

Car has 8455 IRON heads and stock intake and stock appearing turbo and I/C:cool:

Shane, is this with the almost TSS legal car?

I'll be at The Rock saturday... I'll come find you. We're trying to get GNX #084 finished to drive down early Sat. morning. New roller cammed motor and all... ;) :D

Awesome job on the frame up. Sounds and looks like an awesome car.

I think that car would have gone over 600 with a little more fiddling. The tuneup is still pretty mild.. about 23 degrees of timing and 11.3:1 or so on the mixture. The stock location intercoolers arent the best for dynoing either as they get heatsoaked pretty quick and you cant move much air across them, even with a big fan.

I think going down the track that the car will pick up a lot of power, which is one reason I intentionally left it rich. Not too shabby for an iron headed motor anyways.

Shane & JayC:
Congratulations, impressive #'s, to say the least.

Shane do you have anymore info for what parts are used turbo, injectors, cam, etc. I like those valve covers i got me a set but i wish i would have got the crome top breathers now. Looks real sharp.

That should be good for 10.30s at 131-132 mph..... Before BG last year I made 545 rwhp and ran 10.34 and 10.35 just before the u joint broke.

Hope to see this thing runs soon.

60# injectors, stock ECM with MAF Pro, ported iron heads. In those pictures it has a STOCK turbo and STOCK intercooler on it and by STOCK I mean STOCK, not STOCK APPEARING. It made right at 400 horsepower with that setup. I dont believe anyone has made that much horsepower with a stock turbo and intercooler but I could be wrong. That's in TFS trim for the Indy class last year. The torque with that configuration was WAY up so the horsepower numbers really dont tell the whole story.

The dyno number posted above were with a TA-60 and stretch intercooler. Not bad gains for just changing 2 components. Goes to show the potential of the motor. I know it would have busted 600 horsepower with a little more boost and a little more fiddling.. stock location intercoolers just dont dyno well.

Yes the stock turbo and I/C combo made #'s way higher than any I have seen posted any where. And the torque:eek:

We left it where it was because the car still has the TFS tire setup on it. 26" DR's are like skates:cool: I want a little more seat time before we turn it up. This D.L.S. motor is making goobs of power and our C.A.G.E. Racing Headers are letting her breath so well:wink: This was through the mufflers too.... 60# inj's and only a single 340! Jay put one of his super tunes on it and we still have lots of room left!

Jason, I was supposed to run the car at Pinks All Out today but I had alot of bad luck yesterday, I am not feeling 100% and it is COLD!!!! Sometimes you get enough signs to get the hint LOL. I don't really see how they are going to get any traction today.. We are planning on bringing car to BG!

Thanks to Dan at D.L.S for a awesome motor, this thing just kicks ass.

Far as Jay Carter goes,,,,, this would have never happened without him. He put the whole combo together for me. His tune jobs are just awesome and all the little things on this car is what has made the difference!

Man Shane those are great numbers. The set up looks almost like what we have granted we don't have a DSL engine or C.A.G.E. heads. We have a J&Z engine with Turbomotion Race ported iron heads. I bet you are running more cam too. Sorry you won't make it today, hope things work out. We have several friends running F bodies today along with the Turbo Buick group, I wish them all good luck.
