digital cluster to analog

I have a analog speedometer cluster i want to install in my 84 t type it has the digital one know which is a piece of crap what is involved in switching them?

oh I'll be subscribing to this thead, I have the same dash, while its a rare option I'm trying to decide if I put out the cash for the chip upgrade to take it to 199 or do I swap it out for an analog dash and lose my mileage........

why is the digital a poc?

I hav the digital also.... Im going to pay the 350 and send it to caspers for both the repair patch and the 199 upgrade... They install a new chip and program it to go to 199mph, as well as fix that 'bug" that happens after 25 years of service! lol


350 is a big number for me, but for the peice of mind, and the "renewed" dash with a warranty, im all for it!!! Next up, BIG turbo!!!! lol

lol... the 84's are 25 years old now!!!!!! the digital dash's are known to go wacky the older they get... I just rounded up!!! lol

not quite sure what he means by that, but might not hurt to ask... my .02
