Digital Dash question

Digital dash will function like it should..then switch to metric readout momentarily before it shuts off completly/blank, then pops back up and reads/functions normally...almost like its going through a reboot procedure.
Other than age of the dash, I recently moved to a Gen7 and am wondering if there's a correlation there or just simply something in the dash about ready to crap out on me?
When this does happen, there's no loss of power or anything else, just wondering what may be the issue.

The switch for changing from metric to US,and trip reset,on the digital dashes,is a known trouble spot.The age of the units don't help anything.

Send it off to caspers electronics to get it fixed/ upgraded to go 199

There's a digital dash on CL in my area I was thinking about buying. Is there anything specific to look for when buying one of those?

Mine did the same thing before it died. Rather than just buying another used one that will eventually crap out (I went through 2 used ones), just send it to Caspers and have it fixed for good. Well worth it.

Is the harness for the non-digital dash compatible with the digital dash?
