Hello

I just replaced my fuel sending unit with one from oreilly I tried to fix mine using the procedure using the eraser but it was beyond repair. I ohmed the new one it read exactly what it was supposed to but it only reads empty all the time. Do you guys think I may have a bad digital dash also? I have to reset the trip to english from metric every time I kill the engine and the knob is stripped it's getting harder to reset each time.

Thanks in advance

Be CAREFUL. Push that knob too hard, and you'll break the trip odometer VFD. Once you do that, the dash can't be repaired because the part is not available. I see MANY damaged digital dashes that happen because people get frustrated and slam the knob. That switch can be repaired.

Also, if you need to reset the KPH/MPH after the car has been off, you have a blown radio memory fuse. I'd bet your radio stations don't store either.

Thanks fellas for the input. i think I found part of my problem. Although I specifically told the person at oreilly a 1986 grandnational with a digital dash she orderded the one with the analog dash the manager is assisting me to get the correct one. Its a little to late for me not to get frustrated and push the reset button to hard and break it, I already have.

thanks
