digital projectors home theater

Im thinking of getting a digital projector for a theater room i'm in the process of creating. Anyone have any experience using one to watch cable/satellite or DVD's? Thanks

I use LCD Projectors at work and the quality is very good. I occasionally take em home to play video games and they work well for that too.

I used to buy them at local auctions. You can get a very very good deal on high-end LCPs. For example, I bought a 2-year old $14,000 NEC projector for $1200 at a local surplus auction last year (A production company went under). The bulb lasted another year, and I replaced it, but it didn't bother me since I saved craploads of money. Colleges often auction off their 'tired' equipment every few months. They like to use the 'Bentlys' of the LCP industry.
