Dimmable interior lights out

So I was putting new bulbs into my aftermarket gauges. The ones that go in the little coin tray. During this process my retarded ape hands accidentally shorted the bulb socket wires into something. There was a pop and now the HVAC lights, shift indicator and all lights controlled by the dimmer are out. Checked the 5 amp fuse and it's fine. Dimmer will still turn on the dome and footwell lights, and the radio still works. The guages came with the car and I've reached max confusion trying to find what's blown. Any ideas?

The Tail Lamps 20A fuse feeds the dimmer 5A fuse.
Usually the 20A fuse blows first. Check it out.
