Just got DS and used it for the 1st time last wk....was working fine it appeard...made a pass, saw my 02s as i was running and all...go to replay the run and it's saying my speed and rpm is zero, saw like 15 degrees of retard for one frame, then none the 2nd frame...just general inconsistancies. I've cleaned and recleaned the terminals...is this common?

Joe did you input the tire size information and all that stuff into the "profile" stuff section? Might be the speed problem?

RPM's should always work I believe.

Sometimes false KR appears for a frame on my car too. At least that's what I thought it was rather than a connection.

I've seen similar problems per an incompatible operating system or laptop.

What are you using?

Mine will not work with my Dell 650 and Win2k, however, my old P133 IBM Think Pad w/ Win95 works great with it.

Check with John Chu, the creator of the software. He's a really nice guy, and should be willing to help.

You can also download updates and patches from his site.

It was Win98 on a Dell Laptop coincidentally. I'll check out the website, thanks for the info.

What is your trigger method?
What does it tell you with the key forward not running? Does the TPS respond when you pust the peddal?
Can you send the file?
DS is will not work on NT/2000/XP. I made a bootabe 98se floppy burned it on a cd and created a 20 Meg FAT32 Partition on my Dell D800 running XP. Boot to the CD (no floppy came with it), change drives, and run DS.

To answer your question... NO ;)

Sometimes the edge connector gets pushed in too far, that was the toothpick trick to give it a little room on the connector so it didnt go all the way in.

Win98 or slower laptop works best. Remember its a DOS program.

Send me a file to look at(poss laugh) hehe

Also..Bob @ BMcomputersource.com is very knowledgeable.. he sells these.
