For those of you that use the GM gasket part# 1261269 for the turbo to header flange, it has been discontinued!!

I had used the last one I had this past weekend and tried to re-order yesterday. There are still some dealerships that have them in their stock, so if you like to use these you better get them now!!

I just ordered one from Checker Auto, yesterday. I should get it today. I'll let you know if it's the right part or not.

Is there any other cars that have this gasket? Just tried my dealer & they cant get them. Ideas??

Checker has the wrong thing. The FelPro kit they provided is sorta strange. It contains the following (for $16.99)
Drain tube gasket
The stock elbow downpipe "donut"
An oval cork throttle body gasket
2 very large O-rings

I found out about a week ago about that. I was thinking that you could get them from gmpartsdirect.com, but I guess not. I put on a new turbo and the gasket was so bad I couldnot belive that it was not leaking. I went to the parts store because I needed it asap. I found a gasket that is for exhaust systems. It is in all of the parts stores in the shelf were all of the valve covers are at and stainless steel hoses and so on. There are 2.5 in,3 in, and I think 3.5 in gaskets. I got the 2.5 in one and it fit perfect. I didnot have to cut anything and it doesnot leak. The only thing is that you can see sticking out in between the turbo and header. The gasket coast about 3 or 4 dollers, its white and you get two of them, because they are for a dual exhaust system.

Precision Turbo carries those gaskets, their made out of copper so they are reusable.

I don't like the copper gaskets. I have had great results with the GM part# I listed above for the last 10 years.

I have also tried the part paper, part metal gasket that Felpro offers and it isn't as good as the GM gasket either.

GM Parts Direct has them. Just checked the site.

Their site may not be up to date. I'm an Asst. Parts Manager at a GM dealership and have access to all the locators and ordering systems to find these things. GM Parts Direct is actually a GM dealership, not GM directly!! Their dealership is not listed on the locator having these gaskets, but if they have some great, I'll buy them all!! I may have to call them Friday. ;)

This gasket was actually used on the '83 and older turbo cars. If I remember correctly.
